英语诗歌:To Eva
To Eva
O a fair and nice maid, whose eyes
Were kindled in the upper skies
At the same torch that lit mine;
For so I must interpret still
A sweet dominion over my will,
A sympathy divine.
Ah! Let me take my holy gaze upon
Features that seem at heart my own;
Nor fear those vigilant sentinels,
Who charm the more their glance inhibits
Chaste-glowing, underneath their lids,
